DAY 2 – MORE ACTIONS IN THE FAMOUS SERENGETI
Waking up in the Serengeti is something really special. Sights, sounds and smells of Africa are all around us, and ahead is a day full of adventure in the world’s most famous national park. After breakfast, we start today with the morning section of our game drive in Serengeti National Park, tracing the Big 5. We will proceed with game drives in these endless plains, until late afternoon as we find our way back to the comfort of your tented camp. Serengeti’s wonders evolve subtly as the day progresses. The myriad animals and birds are the ‘stars of the show’ and Nature’s dramas can unfold at any time. Of course, the animals don’t work to any schedule, so we may find lion or leopard, elephant and zebra, cheetah and antelope at any time on our drives. After unlimited game drives in the afternoon leave the Serengeti plains and drive to the crater rim to your camp for dinner and overnight
ACCOMMODATION: SIMBA CAMPSITE
MEAL PLAN: BREAKFAST, LUNCH & DINNER
Day 3 – DISCOVER THE NGORONGORO CRATER
Today we start very early again as we will find our way 600m down to the Crater floor. Today we have plenty of time to enjoy another true spectacle, Ngorongoro Crater is often referred to as a wonder of the world and your game drives in the crater will show you why. You will have 7 hours of game drive in the crater.
First, there’s the volcanic caldera (the world’s largest), full of grassland, forest and swamp, a setting of jaw-dropping beauty. Secondly, the permanent water of the crater floor supports a resident population of more than 25,000 large mammals. Here you’ll find many of the reasons you chose to come on safari because there is very high possibility to spot all the Big 5 within one day: elephant, lion, leopard, hyena, jackal, wallowing hippo, waterbuck, baboons, even the rare black rhino finds shelter here. In the afternoon after full of game drives we ascend the crater and drive back to Arusha to your Hotel for Hot shower, Dinner and overnight.
